The nails factory

In 1988, when the industrial staples were having one of their best moments in the market, and exactly when big companies started to get into this, Sonails started to invest in a new product line, the special nails (ring and screw).

The development was not fast due to the option of self resources, resulted from the staples, for investment.

After a few years, in 1990, the special nails were representing more than the staples in the total billing.

After the special nails had reached stability, and Mr. Belo (Company's President) has come from a visit to the European Market, the company decided to add more value to its major product, by producing coil nails. The first contacts for the purchasing of the collator machine were in November 93, and the machine arrived in October 94. In December 95 the coil nail was representing 38% of the billing.

We have today the second biggest installed production capacity of Coil Nails in Latin America and we keep increasing.

With this new product, the Coil Nails, the pallet and wood box industry became our major clients and today we are specialists in this market, offering technical assistance and new solutions as the Semiautomatic Machines for Pallet Production.

We also supply the construction and general wood industry.
